Electronic strip board has a perforated surface much like Aida, an even-weave fabric used in traditional cross stitching. Strip board has been used here as a canvas for Black Work - a type of counted-thread embroidery dating back to the Elizabethan period. Resistors and metallic threads have been used in place of embroidery silks.
